The Sacrament of Matrimony is the marvellous gift through which Jesus himself strengthens and equips the married couple to live out the commitment of married life. It is the only Sacrament where the ministers are the couple themselves. (At a wedding the priest merely witnesses their exchange of vows on behalf of the Church.)
If you are resident in the parish or have a parent who is a parishioner, please make contact through the Parish Office giving at least six months’ notice of your intention to marry. Fr. Harry will contact you and arrange to meet with you as a couple.
We usually recommend that you sign up to one of the local marriage preparation days run by Marriage Care.

- You will need to contact Oxfordshire Registration Service in good time to give notice of your intention to marry.
- Couples who are planning to marry abroad or elsewhere in the UK should also give at least six months’ notice.
