This is the light of Christ - thanks be to God!
The amazing Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ is celebrated. The Easter fire is kindled and the Paschal Candle illuminates God's rescue plan through the scriptures. We renounce evil, renew our baptismal promises and, through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, encounter the risen Jesus in the Eucharist.
Tonight we rejoice especially in the Christian initiation of Peter and Diane through Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist and of William, already a Catholic, who will be Confirmed in the faith. Thanks be to God!
